Preparing for your installation
We can do this together
Please read
Worktops and Prep the space
-
Remove any existing or temporary worktops and household appliances before the appointment.
-
Ensure a clear line of sight to cabinet units and walls for accurate measurement.
-
Complete plasterwork for a smooth wall finish; no tiling, cladding, or splashback should be installed
-
Avoid any changes to the space between templating and installation, including moving kitchen units or laying floors.
Make Sure All Appliances Are On-Site
-
Ensure all sinks, taps, leg brackets, and pop-up sockets are on-site before the appointment.
-
Disconnect appliances such as taps, sinks, and hobs in existing kitchens.
-
Install Belfast sinks in situ but do not connect them before templating.
-
Ensure a 5mm gap on either side of range cookers for expansion, as per manufacturer’s guidelines.
-
Do not fit hobs until after worktop installation.
Prepare Your Base Units and Kitchen Carcass
-
Secure all base units to each other and the wall to ensure accurate measurements and support for heavy worktops.
-
Level carcasses and wall units and fit end panels for stability and precise measurements
Wall Coverings
-
Ensure cooker hoods, wall units, extractors, and electrical socket back boxes are securely fitted and in their final positions for cladding or splashback installation.
-
Remove the front panel of sockets before the template appointment and keep them removed until the cladding is fully installed.
-
This prevents damage to the socket fronts and ensures accurate and secure positioning.
-
Not removing the socket front before installation may result in damage or interference with the installation process.
